  • M.S. AE & ME, minimum requirements
    • Undergraduate GPa > 3.0
    • GRE Quantitative > 74% except applicants graduated from USA universities
  • Ph.D. AE & ME, minimum requirements
    • MS GPa > 3.3 & previous degrees > 3.0
    • GRE Quantitative > 74% except applicants graduated from USA universities
  • Ph.D. Materials Science & Engineering (MS&E), minimum requirements
    • GPa > 3.0 in all previous degrees
    • GRE Quantitative > 74% all applicants graduated from USA universities
  • Direct track to Ph.D. ME, AE, MS&E, minimum requirements
    • MS GPa > 3.5 or attain 3.75 GPa during first two semesters in MAE's MS program.
    • GRE Quantitative > 74%, all applicants.
  • Temporary provision due to the pandemic: GRE waved for international students who have a GPa > 3.5 in their master's degree and are recommended by one of our faculty members who will commit to support him/her as a GRA.

  • Application DEADELINES for starting
    • Summer semester: February 1
    • Fall semester: April 1 (scholarship priority deadline: Feb. 1)
    • Spring semester: October 1
    • Late applications may be considered in some cases.
  • (**) TOEFL not required for applicants that have a high school diploma or a bachelor’s degree from the United States, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, or Australia. An American MS degree is not enough to satisfy TOEFL requirement. Expired TOEFL score will be accepted as long as the student has been in the US continuously (except short trips abroad) since the TOEFL expired (submit expired TOEFL score report with the application).
